Seeing New Compositions With My Leica R4s and a longer focal length
@8:35, that's one problem I don't think I'll have for a very long time: Showing of the technical capabilities of the photographer. 🙂
I had for many years the X10 but it broke down after falling. Great camera i even made portraits with this neat little box.
I guess everyone has there own style of shooting. Seems the isuue with shooting film simulation is, you are always stuck working wth JPEG's from a 16 MP sensor. Or, could get easily 50 free presets then apply with 2 or 3 clicks on a RAW file in editing??
I’ve actually done something like that I only shoot RAW with digital (if possible) and apply my own presets. 👧🏻
I've found that using a mirrorless camera and just using the LCD and holding the camera so when you see finding is a flick of the wrist. I found trying to move your camera to your eye is slower. Unless you are shoots with a telephoto lens.
I hope you make a video of the new Pentax 17
I have this guitar, it is so good looking and amazing to play. 👌 nice choice
You do actually need to change the ISO you shoot at. Otherwise, you just end up with the same exposure you would get normally
❤ great photographic art in this sensational video. Kudos to you for wonderful content. Cheers from Manhattan NYC 😊
Oh thank you so much ☺️ this is such a lovely comment and really motivates me to keep making videos for the photography community. Thank you! 🙋🏻♀️📸
When they cast you for your biography, you will be played by Millie Bobby Brown. You really do look like sisters. I love the casual style and directness of your reviews.
Well thank you very much for this kind comparison to a celebrity!!!! And also flattered at the mention of a Lucy lumen biopic haha I could only hope for that kind of fame one day! Thanks for your kind words and watching my video. 🙋🏻♀️📸🙏🏻
@@LucyLumen I pulled the trigger on a Fujifilm X-e2. We will see...
I ended up buying an X-E2s and a Voigtländer 27 f2 largely because of this video. I love this thing so much.
Holy smoke balls I just slid into your DMs with this EXACT question • THANKYOU
You're being FAR too modest saying you're not on the same level as Faizal. He's great of course, but you have your own style that's also great.
100% influencers. Now I do own the xt-1 and I do really like it BUT I suspect all this hub bub is because people getting asked to test etc sooo it’s exploding Who knows what’s true anymore 🤷🏼♀️
Very nice colors colors of a video! Have you tried to adapt helios with speedbooster? It helps to "remove" crop so you've got almost FF angle and "more" boceh from it. I've got some cheap chineese pixco M42-FX for 80$ and it was one of my best spendings ever: completely in love in pictures with it. PS: I've seen some AF modifications of helios, whole lens block rehoused to cheap AF body donor where motor moves helicoid, the one I saw helios rehoused into some cheap yongnuo ef 50mm.
4mp is 1440p and still good enough, what matters most is getting enough light to the sensor. Look at the lighting in this video alone, Im watching at 720p and it looks great.
I purchased two Nikon L35AF2s new in the box for $7 U.S. each around 2002. I bought them for my daughter who was twelve at the time. She was unable to destroy them although she did take out the next two digital cameras she had. They took great 4 x 6 inch prints, which is what they were designed for. The cameras still work fine and look like new.
Where can we buy Ikigai's film holders made from recycled canisters?
I bought this camera recently and I was influenced a lot by you using it, it is so amazing! I always enjoy your videos, beautiful work there!
In my collection of Nikons there is a Nikon F photomic, Nikon F2 + MD1/MB1, Nikon F3 + MD-4, Nikon FM, Nikon FM2n + MD-12, Nikon FE2 + MD-12 and a Nikon EM. I started to take pictures at the age of eleven in mid 70´s with an AGFA 6X9cm fold out from the 30´s. A good way to learn the basics.
If you push or pull you have to meter AND develop for the speed your trying to achieve.
That’s not actually true according to the lab I use. I understand why everyone says this because it has been repeated so often tho by other UA-camrs etc. I think these photos are fairly convincing evidence as well.
I love the XE1 and this lens combo for the look that it gives but to say it is pin sharp..idk
You were the reason I got the L35AFs lesser known cousin, the AD3 and now it's a staple of my rotation. Congratulations on 3 years and looking forward to many more
your laugh always makes me smile. your photo walks have always been my favorite. just seeing what inspires you, and seeing all the sights (USA here) is so cool. i also don't really care about the 'gear' talk, the emotions that camera and photography give are way more interesting. I have been thinking lately about taking photos of the same thing, like your Park Lane apt. Mostly I just wonder: are photos of the same thing different? Not really a question in search of an answer, but something to contemplate. Anyway, I have enjoyed your channel almost from the start and you have inspired me with my own photographic journey. Thank you Lucy
This was a great vid. Keep doing this in a once in a while fashion & I'll be a happy camper.
Congratulations Lucy - I'd love more photo walks featuring distinctive signage - that really resonated with me from this video.
That is so lovely to hear, thank you 🙏🏻 I’ll definitely be adding to this collection of signage shots so will aim to do another one. Thank you! X
I’ve been a fan of your social media career for a few years now, and I love to see you evolving professionally. This style of video is a winner! I’d watch a bunch of these with different cameras, neighborhoods, etc.
Thank you so much for your kind words that makes me smile 😊 I will def be doing more of these so keep an eye out and I hope you have a beautiful day x
Great photos Lucy, reminds me how much I love Ektar. Congrats on 3 years on UA-cam :)
Thank you so much! Ektar is the goat! Appreciate you watching thank you 🙏🏻
I looked at that kramer guitar headstock for the entire video.
🏒
@@LucyLumen 😂
hehe Ektar 100 was my first film and l35 was my first film camera when I started film photography
Iconic camera 📷 Such a shame the prices are overly inflated due to online hype! There are much better cameras for much less, that give similar if not better images. Although I am jealous you got one gifted 😊 Would I pay those crazy prices? Given the age of the electronics and the fact it will fail at some point, plus the few downsides it has ie not 100% focus etc I'd pass on it but if I found one cheap enough then yeah,,why not. I have the Yashica T2 in my collection which I think has a very similar, if not the same Carl zeiss tessar 3.5 lens, these tend to be much cheaper, I paid just £10 for mine untested.😊 They are a bit chunkier compared to your model but to me that makes them even more 'vintage' and retro.😊
I bought x20 in 2014 and still have it. Awesome camera and just thing. It can do literally everything, but sensor is outdated and too small.
Happy 3 Years!
Really like the colors of your video
Thank you ☺️
Nice video and photowalk! It's always fun to see your excitement taking photos!
Cool video style and the music really fits too
Thank you! My partner makes all the music for the channel! X
Congrats on the 3 years Lucy ! Glad to see that you’re going back to this format, looking forward for more!
I really liked this! And an inspiration... Is there any way you can tell me the music just after 19:00?
Thanks lovely, the song is made by my partner Lux, it’s on UA-cam called “Miami Radio Wave” he actually makes all the music on my channel thanks for watching ☺️
You bet I've been watching your video! Took me longer than expected to comment here 😅 I'm so happy this little camera found a new home with you and gets used. Very much appreciate the chats and exchanges ever since. Keep up the great work - Greetings to Australia!
What a lovely return to the old photo walk days! I'm going to New York in a couple of weeks, and this has got me super stoked to shoot some film and be inspired. Congratulations!
Congratulations on 3 fabulous years Lucy! It was such a nice treat to see a photo walk vid with the L35AF & Ektar. Looking forward to more of this🙂
L35AF’s are notoriously loud advancing to the next frame. I feel lucky my second one I got off eBay almost sounds normal but that only makes me not want to use it as much afraid it’ll get louder. Haha!! But they’re a great camera.
Ha! Bought this camera for my parents and my wife's parents back in the day. It did take great photos with no effort.
3 years flew by fast 😊 Congratulations Lucy. Excited for what comes next
One of the best cameras I’ve ever owned until it just stopped working one day with roll off film in it😢
Congrats on three years!! All these videos are very nice treats when they show up! Always look forward to them and look forward to the future! 🎉🤘
